Condolence: We pass briefly through this Earth. I was fortunate to meet Melanie and Jim, last year. Melanie's wit, unbounded curiosity and sharp perceptions were part of my daily consumption of politics, science, and art. Melanie embraced the world and the world embraced her. I often think of her. She showed courage till the end. I miss her. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

Condolence: I think of Melanie daily and of her family. I know no one and no thing will ever fill the void she left. I was honoured to know her and honoured to see her courage in the end in making the choice to end her suffering.
To love another person, as either friend or family, takes courage. There is always a parting in the end. Melanie was brave and loved many and was loved by many.
