The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ryan Catt can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Vicki Lee
Condolence: Dear Wendy, Gordon, Max and Curtis,

Ryan's Celebration of Life was a profoundly moving day. I think we all left there wanting to be part of your family, and in a way we are. Ryan's friendship to those around him demonstrated the values your whole family extend to the larger neighbourhood, for which we are very grateful. Thank you for including us in his Celebration of Life. Just by being the great guy he was he strengthened the community. He continues to inspire.
Much love,
Vicki, Doug, Spencer and Ali Lee

Condolence: Dear Wendy, Gord & Boys,
It is so difficult to find the words to convey my sorrow for Ryan's loss and to understand how brave and strong you have been for your son and brother these past months. Wendy and Gord, I have not been in your life for a long time and nor did I have the pleasure of knowing Ryan. In reading all of the thoughts and memories from the people he touched, it is obvious he was purely an exceptional young man in every way. I have not stopped thinking of you all since I heard of Ryan's illness. I am certain he left many of his qualities behind with his brothers. Please know you are in my heart and soul. I hope to meet his brothers in the not too distant future. All my love and prayers.

Condolence: Dear Ryan.
I'm sorry we can't attend your special day but please understand that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
We really enjoyed living in Pemberton Heights next to you for twelve years. When we moved in, you were a gangly ten year old with a big honking smile. As the years passed, you grew taller and filled out but never lost your trademark smile. We always observed you as the older brother setting an example for Curtis and Max either playing road hockey, kicking balls at Sowden Park, cutting wood for your dad or building fences. You were an excellent role model and watching you grow through your teens into the young man that you are, was our privilege. Pemberton Heights was truly blessed to have you as a member of its community as we were to have you as our immediate neighbour. I’m sure your good nature, clean living and rock solid personality has rubbed off on more than just your two brothers and that’s the ultimate compliment which you have earned.
We’re all going to miss you Ryan but not forget you. Rest well knowing that you’re fondly thought about often.
Love Mike & Auri

Condolence From: Duane, Jamie, Graham, Caroline and Derek
Condolence: Wendy, Gord, Max and Curtis,
Ryan had such a big influence on Derek and our family. Ryan included Derek on so many outdoor adventures at your cabins. He got to be wild and free to play, explore and roam the woods whether by boat, foot, atv or bike. Ryan taught Derek so much about nature and inspired him to make and plant garden boxes. Thanks to Ryan, we have been eating vegetables all summer and will into the winter. Everytime, I pull up a carrot, I remember Derek coming home from your house, inspired to plant by seeing Ryan's garden. We will miss Ryan's arrival at our house with his big grin to meet Derek before leaving on another adventure.
with lots of love, Duane and family

Condolence: Dearest Wendy, Gord, Max and Curtis,
It is very difficult to find the right words for this tragic loss in the family. Ryan was loved so deeply by so many and we will always have a place for him in our hearts and memories.
While our hearts ache every tear we are shedding represents one of the many memories we have of precious Ryan. We love you all! xox

Condolence From: Mark
Condolence: Ryan, I will always remember you as a great kid who loved his family above all things. I remember when you were born, and have wonderful memories of your growing up. I think I only saw you in summertime when I made my annual visits to Vancouver, with you and your brothers and mom and dad enjoying a barbecue in your back yard surrounded by friends and family. Great memories. Love you and miss you Ryan!

Condolence: Ryan, you were always super happy and a positive person and were a perfect role model for your brothers. You accomplished so much in the time you were given and to see and hear from the lives you touched is inspiring. Even during your toughest times that spark found a way to show. I won't be able to go on a hike, camp or fish without thinking of you, and I wouldn't have it any other way. You will be sorely missed.

Condolence: Wendy, Gord and Family:

We're thinking of you and already have the tree picked out that we'll plant in Ryan's honour. Clearly, he was a remarkable young man and the world must seem that much darker without him.
